Back to basics. Found this from my post graduation (Masters in “Computer Integrated Manufacturing“) class notes way back in 2001 to 2003. I liked the Windchill 4.0 foundation and PDM guide through Windchill 5.0 and so on. I used it later on and now my PLM Journey have moved onto advanced technology in PLM, still the underlying concepts still can be seen.
It is a nice journey to look back and see some of the advancement in PTC Windchill. Sharing few snaps as The Windchill Factor, Windchill Sourcing Factor, Windchill Enterprise Search, Windchill Infoengine basics, Reuse manager, Product Configuration management, Creating simple Object using Rational rose etc.
Pro/Intralink with Gateway architecture for Product view while handling Windchill 7.0 and integration with Oracle manufacturing was a splendid experience of utilizing PLM along with ERP is used in a automotive discrete manufacturing. Presented a paper titled “IT Involvement in Product Development (Automated B2B)” at the World Conference organized by PTC in New Delhi and grabbed Best Presentation Award.
Moving ahead with Windchill 9.0 and 9.1 for a HVAC customer, Automotive OEM, Home Appliances OEM, Medical Device OEM and finally with a EMS industry with Windchill 9.1 to Windchill 10 through Windchill 11.0.
